Exhibition March 1st - April 28th

Fine Art

It is appropriate that this show is being held in the Gallery that was once the old Howard Supply building in the historic industrial center of the area. The paintings are coming full circle to their origins. The paintings are often shown in Carmel, Silicon Valley and the East but this collection has at last come home. Hosting this event ties the subjects of the art and the artist to the perfect location—where it began, the very building where her father’s footsteps are worn into the floor!

The show depicts the true art of the fields. The ruggedness, the rust, from the antiquity of the relics left behind to the cold hard steel that makes the industry happen today. It has been the willingness of the people who work in the fields to share their vistas and machinery that has given the paintings their impact. The inspiration begins when someone who is in the fields every day points out an old relic and says, “Have you seen…”.  It comes as no surprise that those who know the fields have an open eye to our regional beauty and special appreciation for its impact.

This collection hopes to capture the connection from the past to the present through the art of the fields ~ the harshness of the elements ~ the blazing heat to the freezing fog ~ the buildings people lived and worked in ~ the machinery no longer of use.

The people come and go but the fields go on ………..and thus the story
